Welcome to the next installment of our series on launching a cold email campaign from scratch. Today, I'll walk you through live writing cold email scripts for a new campaign. This guide is designed to help you create effective cold email scripts that will engage your prospects and improve your campaign success. Let's dive in!

Setting Up Your Campaign

First, let's set up our campaign in Smart Lead. If you don't have a Smart Lead account, create one and get started. Here’s how you can do it:

  1. Create a New Campaign:

    • Go to your Smart Lead account, click on "Create Campaign," and name your campaign based on your target audience, e.g., "US E-commerce Brands 3-10 Employees."

  2. Import Your Lead List:

    • Upload your CSV file with your leads. Make sure to map the fields correctly: name, email, company name, etc.

Crafting the Subject Line

The subject line is your first impression, so make it count. It should be clear, relevant, and personalized. Here’s a simple formula:

  • Example Subject Lines:

    • "Quick question about [Company Name]"

    • "Thoughts on [Your Service]"

    • "Connection with [Prospect's Name]"

Use Spintax to add variability:

Writing the Cold Email Script

Next, we’ll write the email script. Keep it short, clear, and focused on the prospect.

  1. Greeting and Personalization:

    • Start with a simple greeting and a personalized line.

  2. Offer:

    • Your offer is 90% of the script. Make it compelling and relevant.

  3. Call to Action (CTA):

    • End with a clear CTA.

Example Script:
